CHALLOW HILLS had ruined his chance by running too freely last time on his handicap debut but settled better this time courtesy of the early pace. She had to be driven out in the end but she may well come on again.
Just Sam was stepping up to a mile and seemed to get home all right. There is a race in her shortly.
Rhode Island Red was fit from a couple of recent spins on the all weather but had to come from near last turningout of the back and there is a chance he might need another furlong or so.
