Analyis of the race

A very ordinary handicap it must be said and the price of THE CORBY GLENN looked very prohibitive but he did the job in a professional manner under a patient ride from Walsh. Held up well off the pace, he didn't start to close to any degree until after the third-last but he took command after the second-last and stayed on from the last to win well enough. He's no star and it's hoped that he will make a better chaser.

Kylegarra Lady has been a disappointing mare for a little while now but showed a bit more today. She was always handy enough before battling her way to the front before the second-last but couldn't respond when challenged and headed by the winner. She's capable of winning a handicap at this level and over a longer trip.

CaherLass was held up most of the way and stayed on quite well from the second-last without ever being really dangerous. She has run well in a couple of similar handicaps and looks like a mare with a small handicap in her.

Golden Blossom was prominent most of the way before being hard-ridden and one-paced before the second-last. He eventually kept on at one pace to go past Oscar's Emerald and Dorneys Well who flattered to deceive having travelled strongly to get into contention before the second-last. The cupboard was found to be very bare once pressure was applied.
