Paul Nolan's mare had the added advantage of several recent runs over jumps for her first run on the Flat since the end of 2006 and knuckled down well once she got a clear run.
James Nolan, assistant to his brother, said: "It didn't suit her going no gallop but she goes on any ground. She'll possibly take her chance in the 100,000-euro mares' novice hurdle at Punchestown before perhaps coming back here for a premier handicap."
Trikirk, who had run reasonably well on the all-weather at Dundalk, kept on under pressure for a share of the spoils. His high knee action was very evident in the closing stages and he will appreciate some better ground.
Heavenly Blues was last turning for home, stayed on to good effect, but just could not maintain that momentum well inside the final furlong.
He finished ahead of Flashy Beau, who looked another to appreciate better ground when he goes back over jumps shortly.
Kempes was faced with a tough task conceding weight all round and these underfoot conditions were not ideal for the former Ulster Derby winner when asked for his effort after creeping closer into the straight.
Celtic Dane, a previous course winner over ten-furlongs on soft ground last season, had shaped reasonably well when eighth in the Irish Lincoln but came under pressure approaching the straight and never looked like playing a prominent role.
Streets Of Gold was 7lb higher than when winning a 2m handicap at Gowran last June. He was another fit from hurdling having scored at Clonmel early last month but, after leading at halfway, dropped right out.[BF]
