The seven-year-old was upped 9lb for winning over 2f shorter last time but his rider could afford the luxury of easing his mount down to land this handicap. He seems to be going the right way and looked genuine enough. He holds an entry for Ayr next Friday but is more likely to wait for Punchestown the following week according.
Limestream, one of two John Carr-trained runners in the field, was easy to back. He was doing his best work in the closing stages and sprinted home from the last but it was all too late as the winner had the race sewn up.
Sher One Moor raced at the head of affairs for a time but had no more to give along with Indifference Curve while the favourite Rossbeigh probably didn't see out this journey after holding every chance away from the fourth last.
L'Acajou raced prominently until weakening when the race began to unfold while Sonnium was stepping up to 3m for the first time but he never got in a blow along with Killeaney. [BF]
