Serpentaria tracked leader in 2nd, led travelling well after 3 out, clear before last, easily

Slievecorragh tracked leaders in 4th, hit 2nd, 3rd and ridden after 3 out, 2nd when slight mistake 2 out, kept on same pace under pressure

Right Or Wrong led, ridden and headed after 3 out, outpaced next, kept on under pressure

Zephyr Lilly chased leaders in 3rd, 4th and ridden 3 out, kept on same pace

Solwhit towards rear, progress 4 out, moderate 5th after 3 out, kept on same pace

Aladdins Cave mid-division, progress into moderate 5th after 4 out, 6th and no extra from before straight

Rolyn Rock towards rear, progress into moderate 7th 4 out, no impression from next

Spring Wine mid-division, moderate 7th halfway, no impression from after 4 out

Imaculate Rose always towards rear

Spectacular Lady mid-division, moderate 6th halfway, no extra from 4 out

Prussian Charger always behind

Banian always behind

Pretty Impressive never a factor

Nonin Bheag mid-division early, behind from 4 out

Diamond Fire always behind

Adelka always behind, tailed off when pulled up before 2 out

An uncompetitive race where the first four went off in front early and stayed there throughout.

The improving SERPENTARIA bolted up. After tracking the leader, she took it up three out, was kicked clear between the final two flights and was by no means flattered by her margin of victory. She may go to Punchestown for one of the mares hurdles.

Although he was no match for the winner, Slievecorragh did himself no favours with his sloppy jumping. He missed almost every flight and in particulara mistake at the last almost cost him second place. An adequate round of jumping would have seen him finish probably a clear second and all in all, you could say it was some performance to finish second.

Zephyr Lilly, who settled in third place, was the first member of the quartet beaten when coming under pressure after the third last and just kept on at one pace from there.

French import Solwhit was never in a position to have any chance in the race, but ran on with some promise to finish best of the chasing group. It would be a major surprise if there wasn't a lot more to come. [JOH]
