Taipan´s Way made all, edged clear 2 out, stayed on well from last, easily
Gloonan Hill settled 2nd, ridden after 3 out, outpaced next, kept on from last
Farinelli tracked leaders, 5th halfway, improved into 3rd travelling 3 out, ridden after 2 out, one pace
Wara Mountain chased leaders in 3rd, 4th and ridden after 3 out, one pace
Foretto tracked leaders, 4th before halfway, ridden and no impression from after 3 out, kept on same pace
City Beach in rear of mid-division, kept on without threatening from 3 out
Iona Jack 4th early, 6th halfway, no extra from 3 out
Oscar Supreme chased leaders, 6th 5 out, no impression from 3 out
Alamgiyr towards rear, no impression from before 3 out
Clearing The Water never a factor
Hu Ha Jo in rear of mid-division, 8th before 4 out, soon no extra
Golden Hare always behind
Fleeting Chance mid-division, weakened from 4 out
Baby Bonnett never a factor, weakened before 3 out, tailed off
Banjoman mid-division, weakened after 5 out, trailing when pulled up before 3 out
Henris Gold behind, trailing halfway, tailed off when pulled up before 3 out
There were no excuses for anything else. Gloonan Hill continues to frustrate a bit. He hasn't really progressed a lot from a promising debut last November although better ground may well see him to better effect. He tracked the winner the whole way but couldn't respond when he lengthened before the second last. He jumped well thoughand should get his turn.
The well-exposed Wara Mountain was never far from the lead but was being pushed along three out and couldn't make any impression from there. He just held off Foretto, who was neverthat far from the pace and travelled well at the third last before running on at one pace. [JOH]
