Analyis of the race

Having looked like a filly that would struggle to win any sort of race, LUXIE made it two in a row and it was easier than it appeared. Tracking the pace, she challenged in the middle of the track and led a furlong out, responding to go away and win quite well when the runner-up almost came upsides in the last half-furlong. She's a progressive filly who looks like one that will only just about do enough to win and may well be one that will take a little while to get to the bottom of.

Aseasyas is a filly who's likely to get her turn sooner rather than later if the ground stays like it is. Racing handily, she challenged persistently all the way up the straight and almost got upsides the winner inside the final furlong until it was shown the the winner had a nice bit in hand. She seems to be game enough though and a similar contest looks winnable.

Rochester Falls ran similarly for the first half of the race before she lost her place somewhat early in the straight. To her credit, she ran on inside the final half-furlong to be closest at the finish and would appreciate a step up in trip.

There was also a creditable run from Miranda's Girl. She tried to make all and stuck like glue to the inside rail but she couldn't respond when challenged and headed a furlong out. [JOH]
