Dragon Flame chased leaders, headway to lead just over 1f out, hung left inside final furlong, ran on strongly, comfortably
Maggie Kate prominent, led 2f out, soon ridden, headed just over 1f out, not pace of winner
Steel Mask slowly into stride, headway and in touch on outer after 2f, ridden 2f out, kept on one pace
Jaconet held up in touch, ridden over 2f out, stayed on steadily under pressure final furlong, never able to challenge
Princess Charlmane led until 2f out, soon ridden and wanting to hang left, faded final furlong
Magical Speedfit pushed along early, behind, ridden well over 2f out, some late headway, never on terms
Hurricane Harriet held up in touch, ridden over 2f out, no impression
Tugalu pressed leader until halfway, soon ridden and weakened
Southwark Newsboy soon ridden along, in touch until halfway, soon lost touch
Maggie Kate has been running consistently on the all-weather over the winter and ran well here as she came through to lead 2f out until headed by the winner. There appears little wrong with her attitude and she could well make a winning return to this venue in due course.
Jaconet appears to have an elevated rating and just plugged on, giving the impression the trip was too sharp, and Princess Charlmane had led until two furlongs out and her proximity, being only rated 41, says it all.Magical Speedfit showed little enthusiasm in first-time blinkers and Hurricane Harriet attracted some support, but she looked very limited.
Tugalu is another who is displaying regressive form.
