Analyis of the race

An eventful race, with IT'S LIKE THAT looking beaten approaching the third-last, until gifted the race when leader Karatchi stumbled and unseated Guy Brewer.

It's Like That, having his first run in over a year - he had been second at Punchestown last spring on his final start for Enda Bolger - did not look happy from halfway. He was pushed up to join Karatchi four out, but quickly fell 3l back again (looking far from keen) and Karatchi seemed to be travelling much the better at that point.

Cash In Hand, who was well detached at halfway, was given a whole-hearted ride by Sarah Phizacklea, whose persistence was rewarded as the gelding caught Classic Shot close home to match his second in this race a year ago.
