HORA, successful on her hurdles debut at Ascot in March, chased the two clear leaders, herself some way ahead of the rest, but her prospects did not look good when she was being shoved along four from home. Responding well to pressure and in front going to the second-last, she pulled clear steadily for an emphatic win. A smart stayer on the Flat from a stout family, she will be be even better suited by 3m.
Parlesotho was making her debut in this country, having been runner-up at Pau on Christmas Day on the last of her three starts over hurdles in France. This was a pleasing effort debut but she could do nothing to prevent the winner pulling away from her afterthe second-last.
Party Palace was always up with the pace and went clear early on the final circuit. She plugged on for third once headed and there is a race to be won with her over hurdles if she can relax a bit better.
Moulin De La Croix did not have things all her way in front with Party Palace in the line-up, but she helped set the pace until weakening from the penultimate flight. She is bred to stay and is probably worth another try over this trip. Moulin De La Croix's rider reported that the mare ran too freely.
Another Storm ran respectably and looks to have a little ability.
Arctic Magic, under the penalty for her win at Stratford, looked to be going well enough turning out of the back straight but weakened quickly two from home and might not have stayed in this fast-run affair.Paddy Brennan reported that Arctic Magic ran flat.
