Font held up in rear but in touch, headway to track leader after 3 out, challenged and not fluent next, soon in command, comfortably
Sangfroid chased leader until ridden and outpaced 3 out, stayed on under pressure from 2 out, switched right run-in and stayed on to take 2nd nut no chance with winner
Turfshuffle set moderate pace, ridden when challenged 2 out where not fluent, soon headed, edged right and weakened run-in
Mutual Friend held up in rear but in touch, still travelling well 2 out, soon shaken up and found nothing
Norman The Great chased leaders in 3rd, ridden after 3 out, weakened and pulled up before next
FONT has gradually progressed over hurdles and got his head in front here despitenot looking entirely happy in the conditions. His Flat speed helped and he could be the type his trainer aims at the final of this contest at Cheltenham next October.
Turfshuffle set what pace there was but could not cope with the winner who he had beaten last time but that was on faster ground and he was probably not suited by having to cut out the running.
Mutual Friend, blinkered for thefirst time, once again looked a very difficult ride to be kind.
