Oldrik in rear but in touch, tendency to jump left, headway and jumped slowly 8th, stayed on again to chase leaders 4 out, went 2nd but no chance when jumped badly left final 3 fences, all out to hold 2nd run-in

Jupon Vert tracked leaders, effort and ridden 4 out, no chance with winner next, stayed on same pace under pressure and not quicken run-in

Humid Climate in rear thoughout, jumped slowly 8th (water) and no chance after

Walsingham chased leaders, hit 8th, weakened and blundered 3 out, pulled up before next

Amir El Jabal led and jumped slowly 1st, ridden 4 out, headed soon after, weakened quickly next, tailed off when pulled up before 2 out

A very average handicap chase but that did not stop NESNAAS romping home even though his trainer had stated that the horse would not run if significant rain. Well, there was significant rain but he still managed to put plenty of daylight between himself and the rest up the straight. He was not that badly handicapped on some of his previous form but this form has to be taken on trust as the others seemed intent on doing something to get themselves beaten.

Jupon Vert is thoroughly exposed and not seeing out his races.
