Analyis of the race
The ground was predominately good to soft. This was a fair novice hurdle with a couple of interesting ones, and it was won in good style by MR JACK DANIELLS, who has been very lightly raced in recent years. Led into the start, he travelled well, camethrough to lead after the second-last and though he wandered about going to the final flight, he ran on in good style. He has suffered from joint problems, but if he stands some more racing he could well improve on this.
Once Before, who had won his only point-to-point more than a year ago, shaped well on his hurdles debut, keeping on for second. As he should come on for this, he'll find a race.
