DOUBLE THE TROUBLE thrived on the conditions as he had been well beaten at the course last time when it was on the soft side. Connections think he will make a nice chaser next autumn as he is settling better in his races these days but the ground is always going to play a part in his fortunes.

Rawaabet had finished in front of the winner last time over course and distance but the the other horse coped better with the fast ground.

Final Bid attempted to make all the running which is not easy around here on any ground and he seems better suite by flat, sharp courses such as Ludlow and Huntingdon.
