Dusty Dane held up and behind, headway approaching 8th, led on bit 2 out, left clear last
Ask The Gatherer always prominent, pushed along approaching 7th, ridden approaching 3 out, left 3rd and hampered 2 out, beaten when left 2nd and hampered last
Spectrometer held up in mid-division, headway 6th, weakening when hampered 2 out, badly hampered last
Slow To Part held up in mid-division, weakened approaching 3 out
Temper Lad prominent until weakened approaching 7th
Reidwil led, soon clear, hit 6th, headed 3 out, soon weakened and eased
Fine Edge always behind, tailed off from 7th
Ar An Shron chased leader until after 7th, hit 8th, not run on, tailed off
Bungar Belle held up in mid-division, lost place after 6th, soon tailed off, pulled up after 3 out
Reelinga took keen hold in touch, hit 2nd, chased leader after 7th, led 3 out, ridden and headed 2 out, 1 length 2nd and held when fell last
My Beautaful held up and behind, headway approaching 8th, weakened 3 out, tailed off when pulled up before last
Hot Lips Page held up towards rear, ridden and headway 3 out, 3 lengths 3rd and staying on when fell 2 out
This claiming hurdle was modest stuff and DUSTY DANE, taking a drop in grade, proved the answer. According to connections he has not been treated kindly by the handicapper for some time and needed this lesser company to come good for the first time in two years. The quick conditions helped him as he cannot handle anything approaching soft.
Spectrometer was best in on official figures but he is in decline now.
First-time blinkers failed to help Reidwil who attempted to make the running but was a spent force as they turned back up the hill on the run for home.
