Special Reserve was stepping up a couple of furlongs in trip and the move looked sure to pay off as he travelled well and looked to be going best when going on, but in the end it was the winner's superior stamina that won the day.
Swingkeel is the type who will be seen in a better light once handicapped after another outing. Hamsat Elqamar is now eligible for a mark and her future lies in handicaps. She should come on for this as it was her first run since last October.
