THOMPSONS WALLS came out best on figures here and, under an enterprising ride from the front, he put his rivals to the sword from a long way out. He came under pressure from over a furlong out, but was always finding enough to hold on. He will now gojuvenile hurdling.

Wiseman's Diamond, who was meeting the winner on 9lb worse terms than in a handicap, ran a sound enough race. Bourbon Highball, who had a fair bit to find with the first two on official figures, shaped creditably, but was atthe end of his tether in the closing stages. The remainder were well beaten.
