DISPOL KYLIE, whose penalty was partly offset by her rider's claim, followed up her Doncaster win in gritty style. A filly with plenty of speed, she also gets this trip well and just came out on top in a head-bobbing finish. She will either go to York for a Listed race, or to Beverley for the Hilary Needler, which is also Listed grade.
Polish Pride won at Musselburgh on her debut and was just foiled in her attempt to follow up. Like the winner, she was ridden by a 3lb claimer. And, like the winner, she seems to be going the right way.
The one to take out of the race is Spin Cycle, who was making his debut and attracted plenty of support. An eyecatching individual, he ran green, was pushed to the outside and could never land a telling blow. But the fact everything went wrong for him and he still finished on the heels of the principals suggests he will not be long in winning.
