Analyis of the race

Plenty in with chances at the furlong pole and it was STELLITE that came through a timely gap to gain the day. Despite a poor campaign last year, he's gone well in the past and was reappearing on conditions that suit him well off a winning mark.

Vesuvio followed the winners' run but was being held towards the finish back at this trip. He should continue to do well off this lowly mark.

Wind Shuffle produced a decent effort and has clearly come on for his seasonal debut. He finished bestof all and should be up to winning races.

Messiah Garvey made the running and proved a hard nut to crack on this drop back in trip.

Inca Soldier stayed on without getting serious on ground that was too slow for him.
