War Of The Roses steadied after start, took keen hold, held up in touch, ridden and effort 2f out, weakened just over 1f out
Mind How You Go stumbled start, soon recovered to lead, ridden and headed 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Analyis of the race
Not a bad little handicap and BOZ resumed winning ways in a manner which suggests he can continue in that vein. He had probably been in need of the outing on his return at Kempton 22 days earlier and in this race gave the impression that he is a lazytype who has more to offer. He was held up close to the pace and looked momentarily in trouble when asked to go after the leader three furlongs out but when the penny dropped he asserted to lead just entering the final furlong and looked in command closehome. He could come back here if the handicapper allows but he is from a slow maturing family and he can maintain his improvement through the season.
They All Laughed just stayed on at one pace and Savannnah just kept on after being outpaced.
Mind How You Go made the running until headed two furlongs out and ran creditably enough. He could find a little race in due course.
