Analyis of the race

Nothing within 5lb of the ratings ceiling of 85 for this fillies' handicap but this may not turn out bad form as they went a good pace and SWIFT PRINCESS was a most progressive performer last year. She may have seen too much daylight when disappointing on her reappearance but got more cover this time and then produced a fine burst of speed to get up close home. The four-year-old did well to win as she did and looks still to have something to spare on her current mark, so that she should still remain very competitive when reassessed - and in the longer term she is seen by her trainer as a likely sort for the Ayr Gold Cup.

Feelin Foxy and Hypnosis both ran well until no extra inside the final 1f - neither is obviously well handicapped but the latter was having her first run for nearly a year and deserves plentyof credit. Valley Of The Moon was outpaced from some way out and may have been unsuited by the soft ground. Wicked Wilma led to over 1f out on her return from a long break but paid the price in the latter stages.
