Hippolytus dwelt, soon chasing leaders, challenged 1f out, edged left and no extra well inside final furlong
Dolly No Hair with leaders, one pace final 2f
Phantom Serenade mid-division, outpaced over 3f out, headway over 1f out, stayed on inside final furlong

Infinity Bond with leaders, led over 2f out until over 1f out, soon weakened
Threecheersforanby held up in rear, headway over 3f out, soon weakened
Red Rouge in rear and soon driven along, behind final 3f

Tycoon´s Buddy in rear-division, lost place 3f out, soon behind and eased
STORYLAND had much the best credentials after her promising Newmarket debut last year but may not have been ideally suited by the ground here as she took this in slightly laboured fashion, ridden to lead over 1f out and only getting firmly on top near the line. She may well leave this form behind on better ground.
Only other serious contender was newcomer Hippolytus, who had every chance inside the final 1f and kept on to pull well clear of the rest. His proximity to the winner may count against him when it comes to calculating a handicap markbut this was a promising start which suggest he will prove up to winning in time.
