Kavachi held up, headway to go 2nd 3f out, led approaching final furlong, ridden out
Nutkin raced 3rd, headway on inside when hampered on inside over 1f out, switched left, kept on to go 2nd inside final furlong
Bedizen led after 1f, ridden and headed over 1f out, lost 2nd inside final furlong
Paradise Dancer led for 1f, in touch until ridden and weakened well over 1f out
KAVACHI got the ride of the race with his jockey alive to the tactics unlike Nutkin, who was left playing first catch-up and then had the door slammed in her face when going for the inside rail run inside the last two furlongs. As such, the form is misleading with Nutkin an unlucky loser.
The well-bred Nutkin should gain deserved compensation for this unlucky run and Bedizen was not disgraced on this return to the Flat after disappointing over hurdles.
