Emerald Wilderness slowly into stride, held up well in touch, ridden to challenge and held head high well over 1f out, led 1f out, held on well last 100yds
Hazzard County held up in rear, still last over 2f out, switched left and headway well over 1f out, pressing leaders and edged left just inside final furlong, unable to quicken towards finish
Mia´s Boy held up in midfield, shuffled back over 4f out, headway on outer over 3f out, challenged well over 1f out, driven over 1f out, unable to quicken towards finish
The Kiddykid chased leader until led after 2f out, ridden 2f out, headed over 1f out, weakened quickly
Kay Gee Be led for 2f, chased leaders until faded tamely well over 1f out, soon well beaten
Bahiano took keen hold, chased leaders on inner until dropped to rear over 5f out, ridden 3f out, weakened 2f out
Kabeer held up in midfield until headway to chase leader over 4f out, ridden over 2f out, weakened quickly well over 1f out, virtually pulled up inside final furlong, tailed off
St Andrews awkward leaving stalls, held up in touch in rear until pulled up 4f out, lame
EMERALD WILDERNESS, returning to the Flat following a good spell over hurdles during the winter, stayed on strongest down the middleof the track, and he must have run a career-best in this sphere.
Hazzard County, fit from an encouraging effort at Kempton, was held up at the rear and, having made smooth progress, he was hot on the heels of the winner turning for home and stayedon strongly to run the winner close.
The Kiddykid cut out the running and faded in the closing stages but this trip stretched him anyway and the return to 7f with this outing under his belt should see a much better performance.
