Ella took keen hold, made all, ridden 2f out, edged left entering final furlong, stayed on well
Born Tobouggie tracked leading pair, headway to chase winner over 2f out and soon ridden, driven and wandered over 1f out, one pace inside final furlong
Gallic Charm held up in rear, headway 3f out, ridden to chase leading pair 2f out, soon driven and no impression
Barawin held up, switched wide and headway over 4f out, ridden along 3f out, driven 2f out and soon beaten
Lady Friend chased winner, ridden along 3f out, soon weakened and eased
ELLA is certainly progressing and stepped up again on this handicap debut, making all and holding on well when pressed in the straight. She raced keenly and tended to hang, but she can be excused that in theconditions on only her fifth appearance and is entitled to improve further. She will stay at least 1m4f, too, and is more than likely to prove up to landing another handicap or two, though black type is reportedly her owner-breeder's main aim.
Gallic Charm kept on after getting outpaced over three furlongs out and may just have been flattered by her relative proximity to the first two.
Barawin was a shade keen and did not get home on this reappearance, while Lady Friend was ultimately well held.
