This is the second year running the winner has won first time out, and five of her six turf wins have come in the spring, but given the fact that conditions had appeared less than ideal here, she should be of interest again next time.
Hula Ballew is another for whom the ground may have been too soft and she deserves plenty of credit as she came very wide inthe straight, edging left to join the principals in the latter stages but keeping on for an honourable second - she looks to be in good heart at present.
Out Of Nothing is another who deserves credit as she was one of a trio who moved clear up front on the home turn and was dashed into the lead over a furlong out but paid the price in the closing stages. Nonetheless this was a distinct improvement on her British debut a fortnight earlier.
Surwaki and Rain Stops Play were the other two to break clear on the home turn and neither of that pair appeared to get home either.
