Cutting Comments prominent, led 2f out, soon ridden and headed over 1f out, kept on
Fitzolini towards rear, ridden along halfway, headway over 1f out, switched left and stayed on well final furlong, nearest finish
Tito Gobbi close up on outer, every chance when carried wide home bend to stands' rail, soon ridden and kept on, no chance with inside group
Mullglen chased leaders, effort and every chance 2f out, soon ridden and weakened over 1f out
El Portet slowly into stride and towards rear, headway over 2f out, soon ridden and no impression
Mymateeric chased leaders, switched right to centre 2f out, soon ridden and outpaced
Eilean Eeve led, hung badly right and headed 2f out, came wide to stands rail and soon weakened
Sandies Sister very slowly away, always behind
Rios Boy in touch, ridden along halfway, soon weakened
However, Paul Midgley has made a good start to the season with his two-year-olds and TOBY TYLER was his third individual juvenile winner of the campaign.
On edge in the paddock but looking to know his job in the race itself, the winner led over a furlong out and ran on well for a ready success. This is not great form and he may not be easy to place before nurseries start, but he is sure to improve, and both his pedigree and style of racing suggest that he will be suited by further in time.
Cutting Comments should also come on for this encouraging debut from a wide stall, soon to the fore and leading two furlongs out until over a furlong out.
Tito Gobbi was with the leaders, but he came over to the stands' side in the straight, well away from the principals, so gauging his merit is tricky - though he comfortably got the better of Eilean Eeve, the only runner with experience, who was the other one to come to the stands' side and who looks to have her limitations.
Mullglen showed a smidgeon of ability after being slow to stride and should improve, as should El Portet, who was slowly away, and Mymateeric, who found himself racing apart from the rest in the centre of the track in the straight.
