A huge specimen of a horse, he had to be asked a pretty sternquestion by Frankie Dettori approaching the two furlong pole but he really found his stride entering the final furlong and he drew clear in pretty emphatic fashion. Given his size, it's hardly surprising that this course wouldn't have played to his strengths, and he looks a hot prospect, especially when tackling a more galloping track and stepping up to a mile and a half.
Gaia Prince raced over 6f on debut and although he shaped encouragingly, this was a much better effort, seeing out the trip well and only finding the above average winner too strong.
Celt kept did his best work in the closing stages, staying on nicely down the centre and he looks the type to step up considerably when upped further in trip in handicaps, for which he is now eligible.
