Salsa Steps took keen hold, tracked leaders, progress to lead just over 1f out, soon drew clear, comfortably
Lucayos made most in centre, ridden 2f out, headed just over 1f out, kept on but no chance with winner
Diriculous took very keen hold, pressed leaders on outer, tried to challenge over 1f out, soon outpaced
Fleuret raced against near side rail, on terms with leader to over 1f out, one pace
Seamus Shindig tracked leaders, close up over 1f out, nudged along and not quicken
Eau Good dwelt, well in rear, outpaced and ridden halfway, stayed on from over 1f out, nearest finish
Kyle steadied start, held up in last pair, progress 2f out, shaken up and no response over 1f out
Kensington towards rear, shaken up 2f out, no impression on leaders
Cheap Street held up in last trio, ridden 2f out, no impression on leaders
Stamford Blue chased leaders, under pressure halfway, steadily faded final 2f
Jimmy The Guesser raced on wide outside in midfield, struggling over 2f out
Manchurian never beyond midfield, no progress under pressure 2f out, not much room entering final furlong and eased
Nordic Light never on terms with leaders, bumped along and weakened from 2f out, tailed off
Impromptu always towards rear, weakened over 2f out, pulled up inside final furlong, broke blood vessel
She is bred to get middle distances but she clearly does not lack for speed and, having raced close to the pace, she moved through to lead approaching the final furlong and sprint right away in the closing stages.
Steve Drowne thinks she is capable of seeing out another furlong, and who would argue given her breeding and on this evidence? She could be a Listed filly in the making.
Lucayos was always on the speed down the centre and ran a much better race than he has been doing on the all-weather recently. He was no match for the progressive winner, but he is handicapped to win again.
Diriculous was having his first start on turf and ran well down the middle of the track, while Fleuret seemed to get outpaced over a furlong out up the inside, but she rallied strongly in the closing stages and she looks like she might improve for a slightly stiffer test of stamina, possibly another furlong.
