Skye But N Ben prominent, outpaced over 4f out, headway over 2f out, stayed on same pace final furlong
Tour D´Amour held up, headway over 3f out, ridden over 2f out, stayed on
Ja Myford slowly into stride, held up, headway over 3f out, ridden and weakened over 2f out
Noble Edge held up, ridden over 3f out, always in rear
Brastar Jelois headway over 8f out, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Hunting Haze chased leader, ridden over 3f out, weakened well over 1f out
West End Lad prominent, lost place 8f out, ridden over 4f out, soon weakened, eased over 1f out
That previous win represented his first try at the trip, but he clearly gets it very well and, once in front, he was never going to be headed. He did move slightly right under pressure, but that was due to greenness, and he was certainly dossing in front.
A likeable sort, he was value for more than the winning margin and it will be a surprise if he does not continue to progress.
David's Cavalier made a bold fist of making all and fought back in game fashion after being headed midway down the straight. He now looks to have reached peak fitness after two runs to blow away the cobwebs.
Skye But N Ben had every chance, as did Tour D'Amour, who ran as well as could have been expected.
