Victor Daly held up in mid-division, headway after 5th, went 2nd and jumped left 8th, led and hit 14th, drew clear from 4 out, eased flat
Bronson F´Sure led to 14th, mistake 15th, soon beaten, left 20 lengths 2nd last
Highland Chief held up in touch, mistake 8th, beaten 4 out, disputing 20 lengths 2nd when hampered last
Rusty Red held up and behind, headway approaching 13th, weakened 15th, no chance when hampered last
Reidwil held up in mid-division, mistake 6th, jumped slowly 7th, behind from 15th
Tambo chased leader to 8th, mistake 13th, weakened 15th
Sharp Belline prominent, lost place after 5th, behind from 9th, mistake 12th, soon lost touch
Cassia Heights mistake 5th, always behind, tailed off
Caged Tiger held up towards rear, headway 11th, hit 13th, blundered 4 out, soon beaten, 20 lengths 2nd when fell last
Polished not jump well in rear, tailed off when pulled up before 13th
Bronson F'Sure, who ended last season with three runs on good or fast ground, has fared less well in handicaps this time, but, though well beaten here, he shaped as though he is coming back to himself and should pick up a race this summer.
Highland Chief was stepping back up in trip, but it wasn't the extra distance that beat him for he was never going well from an early stage. Although he kept in the race,he had no chance with the winner and was beaten when he was hampered at the last.
The one to cause the damage at the final fence was Caged Tiger, who was in second, 20l behind the winner, when he came down, having also blundered quite badly four out.
Reidwil made little impact on his chase debut, but should improve for the experience.
