Best Selection is a maiden after 16 starts and was doing her best work in the closing stages and she kept on well. It was a commendable effort but she is of limited ability and keeps finding one or two too good.
Bob's Your Uncle was involved in the blanket finish for the minor places and kept on after chasing throughout. He was having his first outing since October and, with improvement likely for this reappearance, could step up on this.
Whaxaar was held up and tried to deliver his challenge in the final two furlongs but could only keep on at the one pace and probably ran as well as could be expected. Adage kept on in the closing stages and should improve for his first outing since October but will have to look for even weaker fare to improve his percentage. All his wins have come at Wolverhampton. (TE)
