Saunders Road in touch, ridden along from 10th, closed 12th, chased leader approaching 4 out, soon challenging strongly, led narrowly 2 out, ran on gamely run-in, always doing enough
Fieldsofclover prominent, led approaching 4 out, soon hard pressed, headed narrowly 2 out, continued to challenge strongly and ran on under pressure
Ede´Iff held up, headway 6th, led 7th, jumped left final circuit, mistake 13th, headed approaching 4 out, soon outpaced by front pair, weakened before last
Rash Moment tracked leaders until weakened 12th
Kew Jumper held up, pecked 10th, effort 13th, weakened 2 out
Return Home in touch, brief effort after 13th, weakened approaching 4 out
Silent Man led to 7th, weakened 11th, behind when mistake 12th, eased before 2 out, tailed off when pulled up before last
Alphabetical held up, headway to go prominent 4th, blundered 9th (water), soon behind, tailed off when pulled up before 10th
Fieldsofclover is one pound higher than his last win so this was a solid effort but the handicapper is bound to punish him as there was a lot of daylight back to the third. Taking that into account things can only get harder.
Rash Moment, wearing cheekpieces instead of a visor, was up there early but dropped away and the handicapper has him about right.
Kew Jumper could never land a serious blow and he looks exposed off his mark now.
