KARABAK was well backed for this debut and showed that he had a fair amount of ability, prominent in the group chasing a breakaway pack of three in the first part of the race, closing into third place four furlongs out, leading over a furlong out and winning gamely. He is bred to make a jumper and will doubtless be an interesting recruit to hurdling when the time comes, but he looks up to landing another bumper before then.
Alderley Rover did best on the trio who broke clear early on, leading over four furlongs out until over a furlong out, and showed enough to suggest he can win a bumper, though he is another who should make a jumper.
Michigan Assassin raced keenly in the lead to over four furlongs out and confirmed that he has some ability, while Springfield Raki looked green early on, but he got the hang of things in the latter part of the race and should benefit from this debut experience.
Wingull was another to race keenly.
