The winner had the best form in this field and the first-time blinkers clearly did not do her any harm, but she did not need to improve to win this less-than-distinguished contest, though she was outpaced from two out, before keeping on again, and shaped as though she would prove suited by a stiffer test.
Blushing Hilary would not have collected had Ilviz not fallen at the final flight when around six lengths up and showing no sign of stopping. He was the least exposed hurdler in the line-up, having run just once over jumps previously, and this Dutch Flat winner was clearly good enough to score in poor company over hurdles, but he suffered fatal injuries in the fall.
Santera kept on for third and was not at all disgraced on her first run for a new trainer, while Ardesia ran a little better than of late, but he was a shade keen and did not quite get home.
Moving Story looks to have found his level, one paced from two out.
