FISTRAL BEACH, who would not have been ideally suited by the sharp circuit given his size and scope, ran out a comfortable winner. He will be better suited by a stiffer test in the autumn when sent novice hurdling.
His stablemate Our Bomber Harris also did very little wrong on his debut as he stayed on well without ever really looking like getting to the winner. He is another with scope and he is likely to be keptin bumpers for the experience.
Green Belt Elite showed enough to suggest a bumper should come his way as he was the only one able to stay with the front two until understandably fading. He will come on for this debut experience.
There was plenty of confidence behind the chances of You’re The Top as his stable has a good line to what is required to win these races, but hewas being pushed along down the far side and may have found the track against him.He deserves another chance.
Puerto Azul, who showed plenty of promise in an Ascot bumper, threw away his chance by running off the course and looked unsteerable. He needs professional assistance on this evidence.
