Oslot in touch, smooth headway to lead 5 out, mistake next, drew clear from 3 out, comfortably
Dr Hart held up, headway from 10th, went 3rd 4 out, stayed on to go 2nd post
Templer tracked leaders, chased winner 4 out until weakened run-in and lost 2nd post
Lancaster Sound always in rear, one pace from 4 out
Feeling Better in touch, went 2nd 6th, weakened 4 out
Master John in touch until weakened 5 out
Springleaze led, mistake 3rd, headed 10th, weakened quickly, pulled up before 5 out
Outside Investor behind, pulled up before 8th
Past Heritage not jump well, lost touch 9th, tailed off when pulled up before 5 out
El Sueno tracked leader, led 10th, headed 5 out, blundered badly next, pulled up before 2 out
Dunbell Boy in rear when fell 4th
Dr Hart was flattered to finish as close to the winner as he did but he had no chance from a handicapping point of view. He needs faster ground than he encountered here so he may well find winning ways again in the appropriate company.
A gamble at big odds on Feeling Better never looked like bearing fruit once the winner asserted, but he was aiming too high here.
