SEYMAR LAD followed up an easy victory on his debut for the Lavelle yard at Southwell three months ago, defying a 17lb hike in the weights in the process. Always prominent in the chasing group, he was left with a definite advantage at the second-last and saw it out well. A sound jumper, he is well at home on good ground and is likely to be kept on the go in the coming months.
Former point-to-pointer Aheadofhistime has had a good season for his small yard and he ran another solid race. Coming from the rear of the field, he could not quite race on with the leaders from the third-last and was still in fourth over the final fence before running on stoutly on the flat. He is versatile with regards to trip and on this evidence would prefer a bit further than this.
SilverInngot ran another decent race and showed ahead at the second-last, but he landed awakwardly, letting the winner in again, and weakened out of the places on the flat. He could probably do with coming down the weights a little.
His stablemate Laudamus is probably more effective over further and faded up the home straight after racing prominently.
Made In France weakened quickly once headed, and a mistake four from home did for the chances of Los Suenos.
