Analyis of the race
An exciting finish for this novice hurdle with MATUHI forcing a dead-heat with PRINCE TAIME. Both horses had looked held at one stage in the straight but have dug deep where it mattered. Matuhi was reverting to novice company after being beaten in a decent handicap. Connections felt he had run flat here as they considered his latest outing had taken more out of him than first thought. He will be given a summer's break now.
Prince Taime did very well to share the spoils as he hardly jumped a hurdle tidily and was particularly ragged at the last. He kept his unbeaten record intact and will also be put away for the summer.
Space Mission is now eligible for a mark and should do better when the ground dries out more.
