A terrific pace set to the third last by first-time blinkered That's Racing, who predictatably faded and it was JUSTWHATEVERULIKE who found improved form to storm up the hill in front.

He was adding just a sesond first-three finish to his formthis season having pulled up three times and unseated his rider on the other two occasions. He broke a blood vessel on his most recent start in January and has been trained from a field since.

Tin Healey's Pass ran a blinder and had the winner in his sights from two out on his return from a 147-day lay-off. He's not badly treated if he can build on this and may just prefer slightly softer ground.

Chigorin wasn't disgraced on this chasing debut as he was well behind in the early stage with the cheekpieces left off. Still a maiden, lack of consistency was his undoing over hurdles so hopefully he can go on from here over fences.
