Four in line four out, but it was Northern Vic that came from off the pace to give all-the-way winner HALL OF FLAME most to do in the end under more forceful tactics.

This longer trip clears suits the winner and, having just his fourth race over fences, he appears a sound-jumping stayer.

Northern Vic was entitled to run well as he was 18lb lower than when pulling up over course and distance on Boxing Day. He stayed on from two out, but was being held by the winner close home.

Nelliedonethat was bang in contention four out on his second run over fences. He was a little one paced from two out and may prefer softer ground.

Having been appearing to be travelling best at the top of the hill, Deuteronomy faded rather disappointingly at the last.
