Wee Forbees made all, jumped right from 6th, clear 2 out, eased run-in
Seymour Weld hit 5th, went 2nd 7th, mistake 10th and next, no chance with winner
Wally Wonder went modest 3rd 6th, left behind from 9th, mistake 2 out
Rossin Gold chased leaders, outpaced 9th, weakened 2 out
Hurricane Basil chased winner to 7th, lost place next, soon tailed off
Howard Johnson intends to have the winner's back and teeth checked to try and solve the jumping problem and, all being well, he’s set to return here for the final of this series.
