Analyis of the race

Drying ground generally described as dead by most, and a good effort from the improving SCHELM as he gained a fluent follow-up to last month’s Newcastle success in a race in which the front two pulled miles clear of the remainder.

Giving a confident ride, the winner made ground from halfway to lead at the last. He needs decent ground and is set to continue through the summer. Trainer Ronnie O’Leary reckons there is a good race in him somewhere and it’s hard to argue against that statement.

opening her account over hurdles.

Cash Man goes on all ground and ran another solid race over hurdles, making the running until two out. His shrewd connections still maintain his long-term future is back over fences.
