Spider Boy made all, ridden and held on gamely from 2 out
In Media Res held up towards rear, headway on bit 3 out, tracked winner 2 out, shaken up and held until hard ridden and ran on final 100yds
Najca De Thaix chased winner, ridden 2 out, weakened last
Pearly Star in touch until weakened 3 out
My Monna in touch, not fluent 4th, driven along 8th, soon weakened, 6th and no chance when mistake 3 out, pulled up before next
Wotchalike in touch until weakened 3 out, behind when pulled up before next
In Media Res was ridden very patiently after pulling up on both previous starts this season. He did not take second until between the last two flights, and when his rider went for him at last on the run-in he ran on well. He was closing atthe finish, but he was never going to get there.
Pearly Star is well treated now and was nicely backed in the morning. However, he wasstruggling down the far side and remains somewhat out of sorts.
Wotchalike stuck to the inner throughout, racing alone in search of the best ground. However, he was struggling before the end of the back straight and disappointed on soft ground here for the second time this season.
