SANDWITH, with apprentice P J McDonald's strength in a finish a plus stuck his neck out to win gamely. He has apparently had a few problems, but they have been sorted and he is expected to improve from this.
Green Lagonda's two wins last season were gained on the all weather but he did more than enough here to suggest a win back on Turf (scored twice on the grass in Australia) is a definite possibility.
Coleorton Dancer left some encouragement that he is capable of ending a three year losing run, perhaps with a further furlong in front of him.
Tartatartufata, who had a successful spell on the all-weather during the winter, is running well back on Turf.
Steelcut was not disgraced by any means and another furlong could suit.
