Deadly Silence started slowly, held up, ridden, switched left and headway over 2f out, switched right over 1f out, ran on well towards finish

Spanish Cruise led 8f, no extra inside final furlong

Marie Louise chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, hung right from over 1f out, stayed on same pace

Zach´s Harmoney chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out

Lady Petrus chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out

World Time held up, shaken up over 3f out, hung right 2f out, never near to challenge

Dance Hall Diva held up in touch, ridden over 3f out, weakened over 2f out

Sunny Peace slowly into stride, held up, headway over 2f out, soon weakened

Princess Flame slowly into stride, held up, headway over 3f out, weakened over 2f out

They went a slow pace in this 1m2f maiden and first base was reached by TARTAN BEARER who had gone into plenty of notebooks when unlucky on his only start at Newmarket last November. Hardly surprising as a full brother to Golan but Totesport's quote of 16-1 for the Derby looks ambitious bearing mind this performance here. He was handily place throughout and was asked to go to front over a furlong out and was kept up to his work to score comfortably.

He has been brought along quite tenderly this spring and will no doubt come on a ton for the run but is going to have too if any Derby pretensions are to be held. Bearing in mind his trainer's track record that is quite conceivable but it may well pay to wait until after his next outing before any Epsom investments are considered.

Warringah, stablemate of the winner, ran pleasing race and was also always close up and went on with Tartan Bearer over a furlong out. He was soon put in his place but he will come on for the run and he looks capable of winning his maiden before progressing further.

Bumper winner Spanish Cruise made the running until headed by the winner and his proximity just puts into perspective how far the winner has to improve to go to Epsom and Marie Louise was soon close up and kept on at one pace in the final furlong but she can improve for the experience and can find her niche in due course.
