Johnmanderville chased leader, ridden halfway, edged left over 1f out, stayed on same pace

Classic Blade slowly into stride, outpaced

Noworneva soon outpaced

Simple Rhythm dwelt, bucked and kicked leaving stalls, outpaced

The time of this race was respectable and the winner WAFFLE could well prove to be above average. He hadn't come in his coat and was a touch burley but he had a nice look about him and that was reflected in his performance. He broke nicely and was soon tucked in behind the leader in third place and came through to lead approaching the final furling and only had to be shaken up to assert. He will come on a ton for this outing and can follow up before greater plans are hatched.

Rayvin Mad had been a little keen on his debut at Newmarket ten days earlier and was quickly into his stride again and led against the stands rails. He didn't go down without a fight when the winner took his measure and there should be a little race like this in him especially on a sharper track.

The others were badly outpaced and Classic Blade had been keen to post but stayed on but the riding performance in the race has to go to Jamie Jones who somehow stayed intact with his Simple Rhythm despite bucking and bronking.
