HUCKING HEAT had been going well earlier in the year at a lower level but he had found things tougher in handicap company recently. He has had all sorts of headgear applied and again did not look the easiest of rides here with cheekpieces on. Bearing that in mind, respect is due to his rider for producing him at the right time and then managing to keep him galloping to the line when the challengers came at him late on.
Hits Only Cash is back on an attractive mark now. His style of running means that he needs things to drop right for him though, and that is reflected in his modest conversion rate.
Indian Edge tried to make all on this first start for nearly 200 days. He got a bit tired late on but should no doubt strip fitter for this outing.
He's Mine Too, not without support in the market, made decent headway as they turned for home. Another try over this trip looks worth a try.
Sovereignty may well have benefited from being given a more patient ride.
