That is probably about the best way of illustrating the strength of this contest which went the way of SECRET MEANING, who responded for her rider's urgings to pull clear in the closing stages. This was the first time she had worn a visor and it helped her keep her mind on the job. While no world beater, she has now won three times in 13 starts, and is clearly up to winning at this grade.
Jal Music took it up over five furlongs from home. He was another wearing first time headgear and the way he stopped suggested he may have gone off a tad too quickly.
Rich Harvest also looked to have used unnecessary energy by refusing to settle early on.
