Valery Borzov pulled hard early and chased leader over 4f out, driven over 2f out, closed gradually under pressure over 1f out, edged ahead last 75yds

Dvinsky driven from start and led after 100yds, hard pressed from over 1f out, headed last 75yds

Royal Envoy in touch, effort on outer over 2f out, hanging and not quicken soon after, kept on final furlong

Cativo Cavallino not much room on inner after 1f, chased leading pair over 3f out, ridden and no impression over 1f out

Louphole dwelt, held up in last pair, effort over 2f out, ridden and found nil over 1f out, weakened

Chiltai led 100yds, last and losing touch soon after halfway

VALERY BORZOV didn’t settle too well early but he ground out victory, nailing long-time leader Dvinsky close home. Keen early, he soon pulled his way to track the leader but despite coming under pressure well over two furlongs out, he kept on well for pressure to get the result late in the day. He had solid claims on his second here six days ago, in a stronger heat, and he was well backed close to the off to go one better.

Dvinsky was driven to lead and he set pretty good fractions so he ran arace full of credit. He is holding his form really well at the moment and is a credit to connections.

Cativo Cavallino is probably handicapped out of things at the moment and he coul only keep on at the one pace.
